Simple logo minimal design and a little old school to represent the traditions of this sport. The gradient recalls the national Australian and silhouette in the middle is a body builder while lifting a weight on his head. The image is enclosed in a shield so as to be easily reproduced on any surface. The logo expresses strength and determination.

The silhouette is doing a weight lifting movement, it would be more applicable to have him sumo deadlift (Google Image this). Also more the LTD from the name.
