Kudremukh is in Chikmagalur district and is 332kms from Bangalore. The best way to enjoy this place is to trek all the way to the peak which is 18kms and takes about 8hrs to the peak and back. The scenic beauty and the whiff of fresh air would make even a depressed person happy. Going between the months of October and February is ideal and whether you'd be traveling solo or going with friends, this place is ideal for the travel junkie. And since the trek is of moderate difficulty, even a person with no trekking experience can participate. For all those travelling to India, especially Karnataka, this place is a MUST VISIT.
