the only other change I would suggest is to taper the tail feathers a bit more (the 4 that are on the floor) I would like them to be somewhat like the tail feathers in the painting of the pair of Japanese roosters).

This is really good. I like the tattoo treatment on the arm/wing. Are you going to color the flowers on the end of the central tattoo? In the original sketch they are yellow. The eyes look good, maybe only three slightly longer lashes at the outer edge of the eye. You read my mind concerning the lower body. I was going to suggest you make it darker, but you already did that. Other than that, I think you got it. Thank you for doing such a great job!
