Contest Brief
I am looking for a logo that can be then used to form part of a skin care label for Botanical Mens Skin Care Range called BOTANIC MAN
BOTANIC MAN uses ingredients & Vitamins derived from Plants, such as Aloe Vera , Argan Oil, Evening Primrose oil, Tea Tree Oil etc
The packaging that will be used for the label is Black PET Packaging (see file attached)
The logo will be used on the Plastic Bottles / Jars and also on a new website (Not Created Yet)
Here are some guidelines to consider
Keep it simple : Men don't like Elaborate Fancy Imagery
Impact: The logo should create impact / Bold to stand out from the competition when on the shelf
Colours: When using colours think of our product. Botanical is about using Natural Ingredients and oils. We are looking at communicating a Luxury feel that is Natural and Healthy for Mens skin: Some colors we have researched that work for this target market is
White: signifies cleanness and purity of our ingredients
Green: Represents Health, Freshness ans serenity
Black: Represents Strength and Luxury of our Product
Blue signifies Trust and dependability and also represents the sky and sea in our product
The Logo does NOT need to use all colors. Above is just a guide.
When designing the Logo, it will be beneficial to illustrate how the logo will look on different color labels and how will these labels look on the Black bottles in the attached files? Think of the following label colors
i.e - white label , Silver/Metalic Label, Natural - Tan Label, Dark Blue Label - Obviously the Logo Colors will determine the Color of the label paper that will be used.
The label at the time production will include the product name: i,e Hydro Cream Cleanser, Revive Eye Cream etc
Have FUN designing

Please see #127 which uses #124 design as printed labels in white and black. Unlike some of the other work posted I have used photoshop to manipulate the labels to show how they would fit on the curvature of the bottles. This design is cost effective because you won't have to print large numbers of screen printed bottles and you will pay less for the labels because the minimalist design does not include a lot of open "negative space".

Please review #124 . I recommend printing on polyurethane pressure sensitive label stock with a satin finish based on your container selections. You would be able to simply apply my design to stock die formats that your local digital press operator should have. Good luck with your selection.

Hi All thanks for participating in the contest. There are some very creative people in the world - I wish I had your talent! I have added plain white bottle packing images to the brief as a guide to where the logo will be placed. My skin care supplier has advised we have to use these bottles. So when thinking of the logo consider how they will look on these white bottle and jars. Some of you already have done this. Thank you!! Only 3 days of contest left.....

Is the packaging/bottling colors set to being black and white or will changes be allowed to suit a color scheme we come with?

Hi everyone great ideas coming through. Please use both the sample jar AND bottle image that I attached on the brief to illustrate your design. At the moment everyone is using only the Jar to illustrate their logo design. Thanks looking forward to seeing some more creatives that hopefully is perfect for the brand

Hi akyubi thanks fir entering. Good effort the font seems a little feminine for a mens product range. Good use of color maybe try different fonts and maybe blue graphic something different to the others. The round graphic above the brand name is also probably too much

Thanks for your entries. Some are really understanding the brief some are slightly off track but nearly there. Please look and use the bottle images and think about hoe the logo will look on a label on the bottles and jars.
The label that the logo will be on will stick to the bottles and jars. We can use either a clear label so that it looks like the logo is printed directly on the bottle or we can use a colored label that the logo will be printed on and stuck on the bottle and jars to have some contrast to the black packaging.
Experiment you logo design by doing a mock up of the logo on the packaging.
