Jamaa is a swahili word which has general meaning, but can be identified with people, community, crowd, public or family.

We have acquired ".com", ".co.uk", ".net", ".eu" for the following domains:
JamaaTalk, JamaaDial, JamaaTel, JamaaSim, JamaaMobile, JamaaCard, JamaaMoney, JamaaTravel.

The Jamaa brand is focussed on building a consumer audience linked to services in East Africa. Initially the focus will be on UGANDA, with services being offered for Kenya, DRC, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi in coming weeks.

The first project is to create a Logo, Branding and International Calling Card based on the Jamaa brand.

Jamaa is an East African Telecoms Brand, initially, we're aiming to provide international calling services to East Africa. Once audience has been captured, then Jamaa will provide Sim/Mobile services, Money Services and also travel to East Africa.

The contestant winner will be the individual who captures the essence of East Africa into their designs. The succesul candidate will have the opportunity for further projects with design of Website and Social Media pages for the brand.

The design of Logo and Calling Card is maximum 2 hours work. So let your creative juices and go, and submit your designs.

My experience of what attracts Africans to certain brands are often down to colours. The East African music scenes are heavily into Afro-Beats which are spin off from Reggae music. These types of music scenes are attributed to Large and Loud colours. Be bold in your branding, think LOUD colourwise. A small Calling Card needs to stand out from the crowd!

To prospective designers, please make sure you're providing something that captures essence of East Africa. The logo and design is for International Calling Card, which are to make international calls at cheaper rates. The Price denomination for illustration purposes is £5 and card design should state "International Calling Card".
