Contest Brief

The illustration of the entire book may be awarded to the person that submits a successful front page concept.

The story is based on a 5 -7 year old boy visiting his grandfather and loving his house full of lots of things and seeing his workshop where toys are made.

For the front page I want a young boy (with brown hair) with his grandad hugging/smiling but I am happy for anything that depicts the special relationship between grandson and grandad. It can feature a house or workshop as they are mentioned in the book

Note: my entire budget is $300 -$500 because it is my first book and I need to keep costs low. As compensation the successful person will have their name on the front cover as illustrator.

  i agree. that's why i just withdrew my entry. we are willing to work with a smaller budget but not with people who don't respect artists' time and effort.

[ Updated version - #08 ] Hi~ I submitted enties #06 There are 3 images with the original handpainted one and I also put those with adjusted brightness and contrast. There is also a space for book title :) I hope you like my concept! :) I think your story is really nice.

Hi yes please but i am open to alternative ways to illustrate it. Guess just trying to show I dont want it like a cartoon but a bit more traditional/simple
