2 Cover Designs for Kindle E-Book

  • Status: Closed
  • Prize: $100
  • Entries Received: 20
  • Winner: rohan4lyphe

Contest Brief

I need 2 different Kindle e-book cover designs and jpg image files for the same e-book. Your two cover designs should be variations on the same general theme.

For each cover design, I want BOTH a high density extra large image AND a Kindle-size image. So that's 4 images total. Just make the extra large image first and shrink it to get the smaller Kindle image.
- Extra large image: .jpg format, 300 dpi, 3000 px wide, 4800 px tall
- Kindle-size image: .jpg format, 300 dpi, 1000 px wide, 1600 px tall

The e-book topic is on U.S. Federal Government contracting. It discusses strategies for companies to increase their performance ratings on the government's Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). Increased CPARS ratings help companies get more government contracts and build their business.

This e-book will be part of a series of similar e-books on Federal Government contracting. So please add a visual element that can be repeated on other e-book covers.

The contest winner may be selected to produce multiple e-book covers for the series, and also to make e-book covers for other platforms (Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Lulu, etc.). Please do your best to make a high quality cover design.

IMPORTANT: Please do not use "stock" photos or art that is widely available. The artwork must be unique and related to government contracting and performance scoring.

Thank you for your entries. I am going to pick a winner between 2 other designers. Your designs were interesting but did not have a consistent style or layout, just a mix of stock photos and it was difficult to see several parts of the text. When doing e-book covers the text has to be very clear at a small image size. There is just not enough time to ask for adjustments on another entry. Best of luck.
