Create two cute maps of a resort

Contest Brief

I need two different maps in the style of the samples I have attached. They need not be precisely to scale, but they will accurately represent the location of various parts of a resort: buildings, roads, the beachfront, parking, et cetera.

The maps I require are both for the same resort, but the two areas are approximately one kilometre apart. Both maps require that they present the grounds from a bird's eye view -- just like the samples shown. The final graphics will be printed by the resort and given to customers, one on each side of the paper.

I need the completed product(s) in large-scale format capable of reproduction up to 18" wide. The final product will be delivered to me in CorelDraw or Illustrator, as well as in PDF format.

To win this contest, please provide a rough sample of similar work you have done or will do. I will choose a winner based on your apparent ability to complete our project as depicted in the samples.

    Hi, I'd like to know if it should be CUTE (but not totally Kiddie) in a sense making the resort a fun relaxing place? And that rendering it that way, does not have to have correct measures BUT actually traces the real terrain? By the samples provided, it seems architectural or downright business like. Thanks

      Yes, one of the suggestions from owners is that the buildings, etc, be shown as cariacatures, maybe slightly exaggerated in size and proportion. At this point, we're happy with whatever looks good. I hope to post photos of the building faces later today.
