My client needs a logo for his new fitness GYM. The logo needs to be designed after the Spartan helmet, by not limited to it. There is no need for the name of the gym or tagline, just the icon. Crossfit style of fitness, is a rough and tough, down to business type of training. This isn't the place you go for a nice work out and have a fruit shake at the end. The idea is, every day, every work out is different. One day you are pulling shipping ropes, another you're tumbling tractor tires, and another you're lifting 50 kilo weights over your head. Despite the roughness, there is a strong community feel to it. Everyone helps everyone, regardless of skill level or age.
The target audience is for middle class women 30 - 45 years old, teens (pre-army), and men who like to challenge themselves.
Why Spartan helmet? They said, "If you want peace, prepare for war." The owner of the gym feels this is the Crossfit attitude. Be ready for anything, and you'll achieve a healthy fit/body. Attached is the image the owner printed up on some t-shirts. You can Google Crossfit for a better idea of the training they do.
