Depot Man is a character I intend to use in a pitch to The Home Depot (retail store in the US). Think home improvement expert / superhero!

This contest is strictly for the creation of the character but could lead to more design work in the future.

I appreciate everyone's efforts. Was a tough choice but winner is Roystenmania. If you would all please be smart in not posting these characters on your profiles I would appreciate it since we do NOT have Home Depot approval to use their logo.

NOTE: "Build. Learn. Create." would be the optimal slogan rather than "More Saving. More Doing". Both are good but the Build. Learn. Create. statement is kid targeted

Everyone seems to be copying pixel's approach with wrench and overall style. Would like to see some originality and variation here. Please also remember to incorporate their logo, colors, and ideally the apron that their employees use.

All, the character would ideally incorporate colors, brand, and Home Depot's signature apron (that employees wear). If not worn traditionally, could even see the apron somehow turned into a cape?

I would start off sketching the character/s, trace and color with ILLUSTRATOR. The A.I. file can be saved also as PDF, EPS retaining vector format and layers. Export the file to JPEG, PNG, TIFF or any file format you require but is turned to a single layer image. RGB (color mode)for monitor, video or net purposes. CMYK for printing.
