Contest Brief

Color illustrated logo in digital format for a company that sells a variety of goods.
A quality, scalable vector format file or files are preferred (the logo is to be used in multiple sizes and media types.)
The logo must depict a tree which is healthy, attractive, and suggests ability to bear fruit ("fruitfulness").

The winning logo may be either of these:
(a) illustrated with a degree of realism as a mature, beautiful, natural tree,
or (b) artistically stylized with attention given to beautiful line form of both the tree and its leaves.

Logo entries that take the second approach may have a touch of modernity, optionally, but are exceedingly unlikely to win if they appear "funky", "hippie", "cosmic", post-modern, or "retro." We're not looking for something dated, or hyper-modern. Circular and spiral shapes in the branches seem to be a hindrance to the brand image we are seeking.

No subliminal anything hidden in the logo.
The specific species of tree is not specified and can remain ambiguous in a winning logo: although it seems the tree would almost certainly be deciduous.
Again desired adjectives include healthy, relevant, productive, beautiful (artistically and / or naturally), "fruitful", artful. Could be a mature tree or a thriving normal adult tree.

Please note the healthy adjective would apply to the tree itself; there may also be a suggestion of the tree's benefits as healthful however there should be NO visual implications of clinical, 'medicinal' or 'first aid' as those things are not the intent.

Some goods offered by the company involve a degree of creativity and artfulness, so even though the notion of a tree is straightforward, we are looking for artistic sophistication built into the winning entry.

The company name will be added to the logo at a future date; an entry may include suggested typography so long as the typography can be readily hidden and/or replaced with the actual name of the business.

Suitability to scale and to render the image successfully in a variety of media may influence choice of the winning design.
The logo would be used digitally, on packaging, in print, and placed on goods for sale such as for branding purposes.

Options:
As an option the logo may include suggestion of a river bank, i.e. one side of a river. In case of a river bank projection of a reflection of the tree is also optional. If done skillfully the river bank could lend the image a winning edge; if not executed artfully it could detract.
As another option the tree may have fruit on it but if depicted the fruit should not visually distract from the tree itself.

There are already quite a few tree logos in existence and the winner MUST NOT plagiarize.
Please do NOT incorporate stock image into any part of the design since the intended use includes print and goods for sale.
The work positively MUST be your own original work, must not infringe on intellectual property rights of anyone, with of course the complete ownership of winning entry transferred fully to the Buyer.

No guarantees on the winner at this early stage, but someone might be able to do a competitive entry using the notion of a very orderly or uniform arrangement of leaves. (The natural or "random" leaves are good too.)

Just posted a clarification: The logo would be used digitally, on packaging, in print, and placed on goods for sale such as for branding purposes. Also other purposes of course. This means stock images within the desing would not work.
