We ask you to create an ebook cover for a fantasy novel. The protagonist is a 14 years old girl with grey, bright eyes and black, straight hair. When we think about her, we think at a younger version of the actress Kaya Scodelario (http://iv1.lisimg.com/image/1595207/600full-kaya-scodelario.jpg).

She is a student in a magic/warrior school. In this school, alumnus wear a white uniform with violet elements such as a cape. Violet is more indaco than purple. For you to know, this girl uses tarots and a daga to fight so you may want to include them on the picture.

Elements you may want to use (not all of them of course) :
- a three moons System. The biggest one is red.
- a city port under a non active volcano, with Sailing ships on the sea. Pay attention: if you design the volcano, you must include a white, militar citadel in the middle of its side, before reaching the port.
- a cascade in autumn.
- a 14 years old boy with grey, cloudy eyes and black short hair. He is a little dark and too thoughtful for his age.
- a Boston terrier dog. If you include him, make him somehow in a playful contrast with the cat.
- (in the background) a huge and magic White Swiss Shepherd dog with short hair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Shepherd). We'd really like to see it, even if it's not a mandatory element.

Elements you must include (mandatory):
- the girl.
- a red Norwegian forestcat with amethyst eyes. (Think of it, but in red: http://whoabc.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Norwegian-Forest-Cat-Sitting-Inside-Box.jpg). He is a magical creature, with great intelligence and personality.
- the tree of life. You may use a version inspired to the cabala or a more illustrative one, is up to you.

If we like your work, we will take in consideration the possibility to hire you for more illustrations (price will be discussed privately, but no more than the price of the cover, for each picture) for the whole book.

In any case, you will have to sign a "work made for hire" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_for_hire) contract in which you state that, providing us the cover, you do not have any rights upon it, since it is created on our request and behalf.

We are sorry for the long delay, due to Easter.

We want to thank all the people who joined this contest. We didn't expect so much works. And some of them are great pieces of art.

At least, we made a choice with our hearts and the winner knows this. We know that some designs are, from a visual point of view, more beautiful than the one we chose as winner, but lendula was able to convey a sort of dreaming-like atmosphere in his paintings. Even if he never read the book, somehow his designs were the nearest to the atmosphere of our story. That's the reason behind our choice.

  It was, somehow, difficult, because all of you put so much efforts and we'd like to choose everyone. But, of course, this is not possible.
  
  We decided to aknowledge that, sometimes, the beauty is in the eyes and thoughts of the person who admires a painting, or a design, or read a book. We decided to aknowledge that sometimes the beauty is in the feelings, more than in the traits. Therefore, our choice. *

To all of you, thank you for submitting. Some designs are very impressive and we are so happy of this contest. Again, thank you.

Just, if we can say our opinion, several works are very similar to each other and still we'd like to see somethig different, so, let me describe you a scene of the book.

In one of the chapter, the girl find herself in the forest, but she cannot advance because there's a wall in the way. Think of a medieval wall, enormous and made of big bricks, with grass all over it.

Then, suddenly, a big Tree of Life (in the Cabala version) appears on the wall, highlited by a green, magical light, exactly in front of the girl.

Even if she cannot see it, the Red Norway Forestcat is looking her from the distance.

Hi there. Thanks for the invite :) If you are after all image rights, would you agree to terms e.g. I can post the image wherever I want on my portfolio or social media, but not sell it? Or similar terms? Otherwise the price is far too low really. But it sounds like a potentially fun project!

  Greetings, there's no need to seal the contest. This is not a logo contest, where someone can copy the design of someone else. We will discuss the sumissions in a private window with the freelancer, we will never tell in public windows what elements we like of any submitted work. So, really there's no need.
  
  About guarantee the contest, as said before, we will guarantee it as soon as we see something we like. Sealing the contest now is not possible, because we do not like any of the entries arrived till now. Hope this is understandable to all of you, as I think you would do the same, in our position. Thank you :)
