We used to freeze our t.... off in Lithgow. Poor buggers are copping with the fire at present. I still need to work out how to access one entry before I can award it. I like your ideas, I presume if you win we can discuss it more eg I can give you an idea of the trusses available locally etc and some mods we make like and they are included in the prize money?

Hi Pete,
The prize will most definitely include revisions to suit the design, the structural design is to Australia standards and I would be surprised if the other overseas entry's know about the clearances and step restrictions. You will need a lot more details to submit to council for planning. A site plan, a soil test to establish a founding depth, the impact the new building will have on your current storm water discharge, assuming you are on tanks, will the overflow effect neighbours? I know your in the sticks. I can only speak for Victoria, I'd name the loft anything other than a bedroom/bunk room/anything that involves someone sleeping there, it will, in vico anyway, trigger all sorts of things like upgrading you on site waste water treatment, talking dollars here. It's a workshop, sewing room, storage, something like that.
