Contest Brief

Aiguillezmoi.com is a community/social website about sewing and knitting. Visitors can search a collection of patterns, sewing machines and materials and read other user reviews about those products. Users can add their own review on products and can enter their projects with photos.
The website includes others sections too: blog, forum...

We'd like to redesign the website, this contest is only about the homepage redesign.
It is currently in French but will be multilingual after the re-design, Mockup have to be provided english version. (see MB-Newdesign-wireframe-homepage-02.png for the english wording)

Requirements:
* Refer to MB-Newdesign-wireframe-homepage-02.png for the content of the homepage. Block in the page can be reorganized to fit with your design project.
* The design should be related to the subject of the website: handicraft > drawing, hand written fonts... You can reuse the drawings available on the site now (eg: the bobbins in the main menu, the landing page drawings: http://www.aiguillezmoi.com/avis-produits, http://www.aiguillezmoi.com/realisations, http://www.aiguillezmoi.com/petites-annonces, http://www.aiguillezmoi.com/annuaire). But this is just an option.
* Simplicity: the home page should be simple and straight forward. Visitors should understand quickly the purpose of the website. (Targeted audience includes seniors with limited computere skills)
* The new main menu in english will be: Your reviews ; Your projects ; Lessons ; Forum ; Blog. We don't want to keep the dropdown menu as it it.
* We'd like to remove the dark grey background
* We want to remove the cursive font in use for the logo and and slogan because it is difficult to read but we'd like to have something similar (handwritten font like the logo in AM-newdesign-homepage-mockup-draft.pdf)
* We'd like to have bright colour but not flashy colour (for example see AM-newdesign-homepage-mockup-draft.pdf attached but others choices of colour can be suggested)
* We'd like sleek and light design
* We want a desktop design but it have to be easily re-organizable into a tablet/mobile design because the website will be responsive.

Result should be a PSD file, no coding required.
We may ask for others pages design in the future.

Bonne chance !

Hi everyone! We would like to remind you to read the brief carefully. We want pastel colors and a "crafty" but "sleek" design! Thank you very much and good luck.
