Contest Brief
The name of the venture is 'Banaao - A Makers' Playground', it is a Hindi word which means 'Make'. We are an upcoming makerspace and would be providing access to state -of-the art-tools & trainings to the target audience. We would also be dealing/making products and DIY kits. Our aim is to spread and promote DIY culture in India and take the maker movement mainstream in India. Our focus area is quite vivid , from art & craft to electronics & mechanical work too.
Target Audience :
College Students, School Students, Hobbiyst & Urban Middle Class. The major age group is 16-34 years.
The logo should be classy yet raw in a way that it connects to the Indian people, similar the way name 'Banaao' connects. It should symbolize creativity & learning and motivate the person to action, explore it.
I imagine the logo as : An vector imprint (or related )of hand with different movement of fingers around the word banaao OR the typography which incorporates in itself the imprint of hand or something on these lines.
Some pointers :
-Format should be icon + Font Meaning (Not neccessarily though)
-Icon should contain a reference to the name, so that it can be used independently
-Consistent color and shape to allow for future flexibility.
-Logo will go on building drawings, technical reports, construction bill board sites, business cards etc. So, the logo should resize well.
- Use of vector formats preferable.
-Refer to emotion guide of colors(Image attached) and use creative , refreshing and optimism shades.
