Contest Brief

I am starting an undergarment line for preteen girls and need a logo. The name of the line is Gussie and was inspired by 1940's tennis player Gussie Moran who caused an international stir and gained worldwide fame for competing at Wimbledon while wearing a short skirt and lace-trimmed underwear. Gussie was before her time; a trendsetter. She made a bold statement that spoke to her strength and ultimately empowered young women all over the world.

I would like this logo to come from this same spirit. It should be bold and strong, yet feminine. I prefer not to have any relics from the 40's or anything nostalgic. I see this logo being contemporary and different with the ability to set this line apart from the rest.

you all did a great job on the logos. we had a very tough time deciding which one to select. every entry gave us a new way to think about our brand. in the end, we decided to go with entry 72. to us this entry represents a fun and stron girl without color or race... it's all girls. again, we'd like to thank everyone for participating. this was an enjoyable experience. good luck!
