Contest Brief

We currently have a logo (attached) which we like in terms of colour but we are thinking it needs to be more simple.
This appears to be the way logo design has gone this year so we would like to reflect that.

The site is a football (soccer) community website so to know its about football would help

Something creative and imaginative will most likely catch our eye

Designers must provide work in Adobe Illustrator as we will only accept Vector logos

We look forward to seeing some designs

What we WANT OR DONT WANT

1) We DONT want grass texture. Only flat colours are to be used. The base colour is white
2) We WANT the 'The' to be the same size as the 'Match' text (as it is as important)
3) We DONT want cheap clip art images..Custom made images
4) We WANT football related fonts
5) We like the idea of an image to the side of the text
6) We DON'T want a football just stuck on. It would need to be cleverly integrated to look good

7) We like the Idea of having either a Shield or a Hexagon (from old style football) or a Footballer next to the text.
These however would need to be simple and not over complicated.

Right guys...Idea for used fonts. Check out World Cup Logo fonts...Any of the english teams with the players names on the back for ideas. Currently the fonts used are a bit plain
