Design a logo for a custom jewelry store

Contest Brief

We have been designing jewelry for 50 years. Our goldsmiths consult with our clients and create hand-drawn sketches, from which a final sketch is approved. Then, we cut the design into a three dimensional wax the customer can try on, and request changes. The final wax is cast in the metal of choice, and stones set. We need a logo that preserves this sense of craftsmanship, but looks more modern than what we currently use. The contest winner will submit a full landscape version, portrait version reverse version, and thumbnail/profile logo. Current logos attached.

    Thanks for all the current submissions. Needing to keep it "artisan" and professional. Diamonds are a used too much by jewelers. Can we incorporate a heart without looking cheap or cheesy?

    Thanks for the idea. The style is way off. Much more conservative, no caps, no banded colors, no script, no diamond... trying to break to the mold.
