Design a Logo for a Manufacturing/Engineering Company

Contest Brief

The existing logo of my company is in the attached file. I want to redesign this logo completely to reflect something more simplistic yet more modern. The new logo should not reflect the previous logo in any way (ie. it should be a complete redesign). The new logo should not have "Engineering Solutions" written in it like the current logo has. It should also be easily distinguishable as a standalone logo. In other words, if someone sees this logo without the word "Automech" written next to it, they should be able to easily recognise this as Automech's logo.

In terms of colours, I want a white background. I do not want any pink or purple colours. Any other colours are acceptable.

For background information, Automech in a company that specialises in manufacturing and engineering steel components for various industries including oil & gas industry, shipping industry and construction industry.
