Contest Brief

I am designing a 2D animated game app. Angry Birds is probably the closest game that could be considered similar in style so that would give you a starting point as to the type and style of graphic I'm looking for. The logo title is: Protest This! Essentially the game involves small cartoon animals that launch items (eggs, water balloons, tomatoes, etc.) at the police which are portrayed as cartoon pigs by knocking over structures. The logo is meant not only for the game app itself but will be used for merchandising so it has to look good in print on a t-shirt, poster, hat, cup or other products with images of the game characters.

I only mentioned Angry Birds to give you a starting point. I do not want a logo that looks just like the Angry Birds logo.

I haven't decided yet whether the logo will be Protest This! or in all capitals such as PROTEST THIS! I will make up mind once I see the designs. Since the game will be 2D the logo should also be 2D. The logo will be used as the title of the game app but will also appear on a webpage and in marketing material. Be creative.

Some very worthy designs submitted so far. Some are very close to what I had in mind but there have been some creative ones that have made me think differently somewhat. I am going to give it a couple more days to see if there are any new submissions and then I will run a poll to see what some of my friends think. Thanks to all those who have submitted designs so far.

Make the words something that would be easy to read, in a cartoon type font and will really stand out on a poster or t-shirt. Something you could imagine actual protesters wearing on television at a real protest as a humorous irony. Again, look back at the Angry Birds logo for inspiration to point you in the right direction. The logo will be displayed across the chest of the t-shirt and 1 of my characters will be pictured below it.

Do not include any cartoon characters in the logo. I am having them created separately and therefore no characters added to these logo submissions will be anywhere close to my designs so please don't include any. Also, avoid using any props as they also won't match what I'm having designed. Keep your submissions to just the words. Make sure you pay attention to the words. The phrase is - Protest This! As well, don't overly complicate things. Have a look one more time at the Angry Birds logo for some inspiration.
