First of all, every image you use to create a logo has to be ROYALTY FREE. http://www.shutterstock.com/ has a great illustration collection. That is where you should look. I will do a google image search on your logo, and if the image you used is not royalty free, you will not win. If you use an image in the logo that is not royalty free, do not bother applying. You will waste time. Please when you submit your version of the design, include a link to the image you are using so I can make sure that it is royalty free.

2nd, If I reject your image, don't worry. Take my suggestions and try again :)

Please visit my site at http://www.salingermarketing.com to get an idea of what I do and the attitude we portray. We do marketing for companies. The name of my company is Salinger Marketing. I would like the words Salinger Marketing to be in the same font as the one on my website. Right now the font that I am using is called "Pacifico" But, if you use a different font that you think looks better no problem. I would like the words "Salinger Marketing" to be in a background or foreground of a rye field.

That is a rye field. Do a google image search for the words "rye field" if the above link does not work. Please make sure that whatever image you use is indeed royalty free. I would like the picture of the rye field to be not a real photograph but somewhat like a cartoon, like clip art.

So to recap.

THE LOGO HAS TO BE ROYALTY FREE.
The words "Salinger Marketing" and "salingermarketing.com" should appear on the logo.
Use Pacifico font, or don't, I would like to see submissions with different fonts
The logo should be a circle or square
Inside the circle are the words "Salinger Marketing"
Inside the circle either in the background or the foreground is some rye, or a rye field. The rye field should not be a photograph but an illustration.
(For reference, J.D Salinger is the author of the book Cather in the Rye, which is why I would like rye in the logo)
I do not care about the colors of the logo as long as they look good.
