Contest Brief
I would need a logo for a company that offers Italian regional food specialities. The name of the company is "the VespaCar". It is a variation of the name of a traditional three-wheeled vehicle known as apecar (see pictures attached). The name has been chosen for one main reason: every month the company picks one Italian region (Sicily, Sardinia, Apulia, Campania, etc.) and delves into the region food culture. It establishes connections with small regional food producers, creates content on them (pictures, videos, articles), purchases their products and eventually provides the food products and the content created in a package to the customer. The next month, the process is repeated with a different region.
Therefore, as the company provides a sort of "food trip" across Italy, the brand is represented by a traditional Italian vehicle, the VespaCar, which travels across Italy to discover its food traditions. The target customer is represented by European consumers who have an interest in Italian cuisine, with a medium to high income, aged between 35 and 60.
The brand should look premium (as the quality and price of the service is fairly high) but at the same time should give a traditional, artisan feeling to link with its values of authenticity. It is important that the logo communicates that the company is about food (the name itself does not say anything about food) and should also include a stylized VespaCar to communicate the "movement"/"travel" feel and enforce its brand and storytelling. I believe the logo would need both font ("the VespaCar") and a symbol element (the stylized vespacar with food in its back for example), however, other approaches are welcomed too.
The element I am looking for is simplicity. The hard part of this design is to combine quite elaborated elements (the food and a particular 3-wheeled vehicle) to convey what the business is about, and at the same time make it look simple. Overcomplicated or too colourful designs should be avoided. The "premium/gourmet" feel is important.
I thank you very for your cooperation and I am looking forward to seeing your best designs for such an exciting project.
