Contest Brief

Hi

this is a sport brand for the sport minded guys.

What we are looking for:

=== another LOGO for the current brand ===

maybe there is something more interesting than the LION design we have currently ;)

******the logo project should NOT have too many details, so it would be still possible to emboss it in the leather or in some small metal pieces like buttons etc.

*****the logo project should be open to our own amendments later on. (So no just ....jpg photo please ;) Also should be open to watermark amendments later on.

****we will choose the winner of the competition. However, we reserve the right to pay some cash to other competitors for their ideas and projects as well.

***we would be happy to see not only a new, fresh logo, but also some cool STATEMENT in line with our present BRAND. The logo does not have to be placed under the brand's name. The statement does not have to be placed under the logo.
Feel free to design it without any limitations.

**we won't use the word "SYDNEY" any longer. So please DO NOT FOCUS on this word at all.

* we are also creating now another contest for the STATEMENT only. So please feel free invited to take part in that contest as well.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

*our brand currently is selling accessories, clothes and sport equipment for the guys only.
The sports are as follows: surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, snowboarding, skying, biking, rugby, football, soccer, martial arts.
The logo and the statement should not relate to any particular sport. We just provide these different sports for your own feeling of the brand.

*currently we sell to the men's market but please do not make this TOO obvious...too direct.
So the ladies could still buy our products for their boyfriends, instead of getting turned off ;)

*we like to have a bit of the vintage (oldschool) look with our products, graphics and paper tags for this brand.
So more into Abercrombie/Hollister oldschool style than the modern and plain brands such as Nike / Adidas / Quiksilver.

*regarding a NEW STATEMENT for our brand; instead of 'SYDNEY' word, would be great to have something with less focus on the country or localization and more on the:
different sports, sport culture, team work, crew, competition, loyalty, victory, adventure, health, fun, masculinity, challenges, freedom, excitement etc.

Something like Adidas has: 'IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING'
(but we do not want to copy it ;)
