Contest Brief

We have designed a new Plastic Spacer that is used for spacing polystyrene Pods in the construction industry. We have decided to use the brand name PODLOCK Spacer. We now need to design the logo. Our current company is Castle - representing innovative plastic products for the construction industry - we are 25 years established & well known for superior quality & service second to none. In the market these spacers are known as 'Pod Spacers' or 'Raft Spacers' or 'Rib Raft Spacers'.
This product is not the first on the market but a great improvement on what is already available. Two main products already used are the Unimax Spacer (see http://www.expol.co.nz/tuffpod.html under system components) and the WJ100 spacers (see: http://www.expol.co.nz/pdfs/wiltonJoubertWJ100Expol.pdf). The WJ100 are the most common and known as the 'WJ Spacer'. We have 4 main USP's:
1. Pod Pins - these press into the spacer to pin it down to the ground so it does't blow away in the wind.
2. Crab Clip - A clip that clips the spacers together when not in use, this keeps them tidy & saves time.
3. No sharp edges - the opposition spacers have a lot of sharp edges and users get frustrated with the scratches when handling them.
4. Wide mouth self centering bar support - designed to self-centre the bar when it is dropped into the rib trench.

You will need to provide vectored art.

Brand / logo needs to be simple, modern & brand the feature of clip & release. Colour preference is open to your creativity however I prefer spot colours.

Castle is the company brand and we are known for strength, quality & reliability.
