SAFEFUEL needs a logo design that is completely self-explanatory about what we do, which are Certified Safety Inspections of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Facilities. Currently, we only inspect CNG facilities, but later we will also be inspecting other types of alternative fuel facilities, hence the name SAFE ALTERNATIVE FUEL ALLIANCE. Therefore, the logo needs to be generic enough that it covers all alternative fuels.
Company Name: SAFEFUEL
Tagline: SAFE ALTERNATIVE FUEL ALLIANCE
Safe Alternative Fuel Alliance
After we choose a winner for the design of the logo, we are going to design an official “seal/stamp” based on the original logo. This seal/stamp will be the official certification stamp for our safety inspections. Therefore, it is very important that the logo be designed in a way that it is easy to incorporate into the official inspection seal/stamp. A perfect example of this is the “ISO logo”, which is incorporated into the official “Certified ISO 9001 seal/stamp”. Attached are examples.
In making the logo self-explanatory, not only is the text going to be precise, but the design itself is going to explain what we do without having to read the text. The logo should look very official looking. As with ISO, when people see our logo, we want them to think “certified safety inspection”. In other words SAFEFUEL = certified safety inspections.
Since alternative fuel is related to pro-environment, the logo may or may not have something related to that. However, if pro-environment is used, it must be done very soberly.
It may or may not include a diamond shape, like the emblem for CNG and LNG. This is not a requirement, but it is merely an idea.
SAFEFUEL (Safe Alternative Fuel Alliance) is an independent non-governmental organization providing voluntary safety inspections for CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fueling facilities.
Being “SAFEFUEL CERTIFIED” means a CNG fueling facility has been inspected and adheres to the strict safety procedures prescribed by the “SAFEFUEL PROTOCOL”.
SAFEFUEL was started by top engineers and experts in CNG fueling with the purpose of providing a much needed standardized safety protocol for the industry, which did not exist previously.
The SAFEFUEL Protocol is based on design and engineering considerations, specific equipment type, historical performance, configurations, usage, as well atmospheric conditions. It includes the applicable safety standards and procedures of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Fire Codes, Local Fire Department Codes & Standards, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, International Building Codes, Local Municipal Building Codes, as well as the safety recommendations of the primary equipment manufacturers ANGI and IMW.
Being certified guarantees the public and employees that facilities are safe.
