Contest Brief

I'm looking for a logo for my website ScienceRecorder.com. I prefer simple logos that somehow incorporate a symbol or graphic into the letters of the name.
You can look at my website TheSpaceReporter.com as an example of what I mean. The website is a science website that posts articles on various science topics, like space, health, technology etc... So think of symbols that relate to those categories and try to incorporate them into the logo. I want people to see the logo and think, oh, that's probably a science website. Experiment with different fonts as I am not sure what I want yet. I'll be sure to quickly reject designs I don't care for and add starts to the designs I like so you can see the direction I am leaning.

The green color the website currently uses is #4F8C2A. A splash of a different color could be good depending on the design.

I prefer you use one of the 3 colors for the background.

Green #4F8C2A
White #ffffff
Black #000000

Forgot to mention, the sizes you should be designing for are 300 x 100 (recommended logo size in theme) and 600 x 200.
I'll need uncompressed png files from the winner.
