Contest Brief

Hello,

My fiancé and her friends are about to start their restaurant business together. The type of the restaurant is the Thai-style fish hotpot. The original recipe has been created by her friend's family, which owns several fish hotpot restaurants in the country-side area of Thailand. And now, my fiancé and her friends have decided to purchase the recipe and to open the first Bangkok branch.

However, they all agree that it's time to update the original restaurant logo to be a more suitable representative for the Bangkok branch. So, below are the conditions and requirements that they would like you to help improving the design -

1. The main color is still green (you can experiment on different shades of green).

2. The main character in the logo is still "The Fish". However, they would like this character to represent the feeling of this fish as the one who has finally come to the big city, and he is ready to show Bangkok people how tasty his fish hotpot recipe is. He is the masterchef of Fish hotpot. Please feel free to adjust the design of this character as you see fit. They think that the character in the old design looks somewhat more like a frog than a fish. So, please make him look more like a fish and look cool and smart this time. However, they still would like to keep the atmosphere of the restaurant as "family-dining, fun place after work, weekend hangout kind of restaurant". So, no bow tie or any suit on the fish, please.

***Update - The team would like the eyes of the fish character to look fun and naughty (please see the emoticon file attached). Also they would like to fish to put its tongue out and upward to show that this hotpot recipe is very delicious.

3. The name of the restaurant can be translated to English as "The Home of Fish Hotpot". And in Thai, it's "Baan Pla Joom". So, you can also use this to help with the design.

I will keep checking and providing as many feedbacks to all the submissions as possible. And if there's any updates on the conditions/requirements, I will keep you posted.

Updates from the owner team, they would like you to try designing the fish to look more like a cool "masterchef" of Fish hotpot. Also, you can try adding the restaurant name with the logo in both English and Thai ("The Home of Fish Hotpot" or "Baan Pla Joom"). We truly appreciate all your hardworks.

  I'm really sorry but I don't have any better resolution image of this logo. However, you can create the totally different design as long as it's a green fish and looks cooler/fresher/more urban style.
