Contest Brief

What is required: A logo unit for Locostart: Where startups get going
We want the name and the tagline incorporated in the logo unit. There should be a graphic component along with the text.
We will require the logo in PSD, PNG and JPG formats.

1. What is Locostart?
Locostart is a startup forum community, presently concentrating on the Indian startup scene. It’s a place where you can post your startup related questions and answer those that others may have.

2. Logos we like
Some logos our team likes include: Apple, Nike, and FedEx.

3. Feelings to convey
Basically – we’re looking for a simple yet sophisticated design that will convey:
a. Purpose: Most startups have a purpose: a defining idea that drives them. We want our logo to convey that.
b. Motion: Our tagline is ‘Where startups get going’. We’d like to convey that sense of motion
c. Inspiration: We want our logo to inspire people to sign up on Locostart
d. Distinction: We’d like a distinctive logo that is unique and stands out.

4. Colors and fonts
Blue should be a primary color.

5. Target market?
Our target market is:
Gender: Male & Female
Age: 18+
Nationality: Indian
Psychographics: Urban, savvy internet users who are attuned to pop culture
