Contest Brief

We are a growing building design company operating in Victoria, Australia and are looking to re-develop/re-brand the business. The business name is DNB Design and we specialise in residential building design and drafting with a focus on high end dwellings, and multi residential developments We currently have a logo that we have been using for the past 8 years and are looking for a change and need some fresh ideas.

A brief summary of each of the components that we are looking at developing is listed below

LOGO
The main focus of this competition is the new logo design. Attached to the competition is a copy of the current logo. We are not looking at re-developing the existing design and would prefer a new direction. We do like the colours that have been used in the current design however we are open to alternatives. It is not necessary to keep the existing "birdman' font and are not fixed on any particular font style, just keep it clean and simple . The name of the company needs to be easily identifiable in the logo and it would be nice to have a unique symbol that incorporates the DNB initials or is related to building design in some way.

The logo design will be need to be incorporated into business cards, drawing title blocks, email signatures, letter heads and eventually site signage and web pages and it its important that it be easily readable on building drawings.

BUSINESS CARD
The business card must contain the following
-First Name Last Name
-Position
-Phone Number
-Email Address
-Postal Address
A copy of the current business card design is attached to the competition. Please use this as an example of content only not for design ideas

LETTER HEAD
This should be fairly clean and simple in terms of design. No large background images please.

DRAWING TITLE BLOCKS
It is extremely important that the logo is easily read on building drawings. The logo should be easily identifiable and must also contain the business contact details, including phone number, postal address & email address

EMAIL SIGNATURE
Again this should be relatively simple and should contain the logo and business contact details. It would also be ideal to include the logos of the professional bodies that we are members of. (see supplied attachments)

Please note that the attached existing files are for examples of content only. We are looking for a new direction and are open to new ideas when it comes to the company profile & branding.

Please provide appropriate file formats for the stationary to be printed easily by professional printers

I really think this logo would be a good representation of your business and it'll look good wherever you put it.
