Contest Brief

To clarify, this is NOT a T-shirt design--it's a SWEATER! (No option for that here.)

Purpose
It's my school's 100th year (keep this in mind while designing). The sweater design is the senior sweater, and since 100 is an important number, the sweater needs to be really collectible and outstanding. Design also needs to be something our students will enjoy wearing.

Text/Color Requirements
Include the following in the design
Class name: The Uprising
Year: "2015" or "MMXV"
School Colors: Maroon (required)
Other Colors: Black, white, gold (not required but go well with maroon)
School Name: Van Nuys High School
School Mascot: Wolf (NOT required, but you can try this)
Text: 100th year (include this somewhere in the design)
NOTE : Design may very well be a typography, but of course, ones with images are the best.

Design Checklist
Design can follow one of these three paths
1) Nostalgic
A very classy, college collegiate-kind of feeling. Refined tastes, smooth jazz, fine cheese--that kind of atmosphere. Make memorable and collectible.

2) Modern
A very sleek, urban, and outright cool design. This one is more "pop", can have bold colors (maroon must be included, though), minimalistic geometric shapes (maybe?)

3) Other
The top two are good, but if you have some crazy idea that works well, submit them please!

My budget is around $35 +/- $5. Looking for freelancers within this range. Tight time crunch, so also need freelancers that are responsive and effective!
