We have an existing website at www.jstewartgolf.com however we badly need a new and improved background image. This will also be used for our Twitter background but the background should be based on the design of the website.

We have experimented with image backgrounds but we found that they were often quite distracting from the main content. The current gradient background however is too boring.

We have some ideas which might lead to an improvement. Hopefully you can use these to create an awesome background that fits with the site design!

1. Image background of some sort of golf course with some sort of blur effect (example: http://sports.yahoo.com/)

3. If you have any better ideas then please show us.

Thanks for all the entries so far. It would really help if you placed the background behind an image of the website so I can see what it will look like when it goes live. Also, I think if you are going to use an image then some kind of effect to make it not so distracting (like a gaussian blur etc) might help. Check out sports.yahoo.com as per the reference.
