Contest Brief

We are an advertising and marketing agency based in London. We need a new website design and will then have to build the site and ensure it is mobile optimised. The design idea will be shared across our credentials, Facebook and Instagram accounts. So we need to start with an idea. We have all of the skillsets all advertising and marketing agencies have - brand building and development, advertising, digital, print design, e-coms, internal communications, direct mail, etc., etc. - and are media neutral in our responses to clients; that is, we work in any and all media which match the brief. We are client services-lead but work hard to ensure all our work for clients is measurable. We are very strong on brands and have, between us, experience across many sector, from travel to construction/building, from financial services to fashion and from fmcg to technology. The website idea needs to be appropriate for B2C, B2B and for B2E sectors/audiences. But we are looking for an attitude, not just a pretty design. The site needs to be unexpected, with a (good) attitude, lots of space and openness, possibly typographically lead. It needs to "say" we have ideas (the words we write will explain what we do, who we are, how to contact us, etc.). It needs to be simple, impactful but overall, engaging. We want prospects to think "they look interesting, let’s contact them". We are looking outside of our own creative resource because we think we are too close to the brief - we want fresh ideas. And if you think our logo also needs a refresh, all ideas are welcomed. The current site is at www.commune.co.uk

what services are your flagships? Ofcourse all of them will be explained and easy to find on the website but trying to expose them all at once is pointles considering you surely make a lot more income on some of them than other. Who is your audience of choice? What kind of action would you like a client to make? a mail? phone call? signup? what is your strongest local competition ?Fell free to answer via private message :)

  Our audience are people involved in choosing an advertising agency and we want them to call or email from the site or as a result of seeing the site. We are media neutral (see brief) and do not want to focus on one skill more than another as most marketing briefs require a range of media and creative responses.

i wish that you could design a UX and hope for it to work . it needs energy , science, technology and lots of other factors to work . we are going to develop a UX that both you and your costumers like and enjoy instead of a fancy design we come up with your own experience of a user interface . so please help us fill in the gaps between you and the perfect experience of your website .

We have been reviewing the entries so far. Most have been far too obvious but we understand why this might be. Pictures of meetings, people around a table and pictures of views are too common with advertising agencies as it is a people business. Our brief asks for an IDEA, one that is unexpected and engaging, one that suggests a creative approach to our clients' briefs and the way we think about responding to them, both with creative ideas and media we suggest using. It shouldn't be a random image but something which has a rationale, perhaps an unexpected (but relevant) quotation. So far we have rejected most and marked many very low as they are a little too obvious and have been used before in one way or another. The idea needs to stand out and be different from other agency websites. It could be a video, images, a single striking and engaging image, words, a quotation, the start of a conversation. Please keep submitting ideas or changes to the ones you have already posted.
