Contest Brief

We are trying to design a fancy wooden floor layout and have been given 2 different sized wooden floor boards that we can use in any pattern we like.

Floor board sizes
1. 260mm x 65mm
2. 65mm x 65mm (this one is a slightly darker colour to give a contrast

Looking for something different and interesting rather than standard types of layouts.

Particularly interested if the design has a boarder but this is not essential.

We're also open to the idea of having a feature section such as in the hallway that is different to the rest of the floor design.

I like version 4 of mirceaadi's the best but it needs to be adjusted to suit the floorboard sizes specified (we could cut the long boards in half if that helps with the design

I think if you have some board sizes all participant must fit the floor pattern to this sizes. Otherwise the design task changes, so the layout can change. If the participant are aloud to change cut, board sizes then this contest must restart from the begining :)

  No the board sizes are fixed, although the smaller boards are cut from the larger ones

Yes, just looking for the concept of a fancy pattern design putting multiples of these 2 types of boards together. Obviously without any holes/gaps.
