Contest Brief

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

We are planning a Festival - The MonkeyTree Re:evolution Festival

It is a event for charity organisations and local citizens, where they get together within workshops to translate global issues into local initiatives (projects). The event provides workshops, lectures, fun and music and is supposed to create awareness about the fact that everybody can do something about everything - locally. It is a festival for activism and encouragement.

DESIGN:

We are thinking about a logo - that features a hand in the middle as the stem of a tree with 'leaves' around - in a triangle (see picture attached) with the text: Re:evolution, Connecting Change

Colours need to be autumn like: stem brownish/dark orange/rusty - leaves green - background blue-ish - hearts red - outline purple or grey - writing black, dark grey

The letter type should be playful but professional

The hand and leaves do not need to look realistic - feel free to make it playful and a little abstract, as long as the message stays clear. The hand stands for doing things, being creative, feeling, connecting. The Five finger stand for: promise, love, provoke, direction and good luck - 5 in general stands for balance and the five elements (fire, water, air, earth and spirit)

Maybe you can use that within the creation of the design of the 'leaves' :)

We are looking for a banner to put on our Facebook page and a logo to use for badges and merchandise.
