This project is for the design work for a metal badge for Māori staff at Starship Children's hospital. Designed to be pinned onto identification lanyards the badges will be a symbol of unity, tino rangatiratanga (self determination) and allow Māori staff members to recognise one another and be recognised by other staff members.
It needs to incorporate Māori symbols, and Starship star ideally. These will ideally be treasured possessions (taonga) for staff members. Please do your research on Maori culture and come up with something innovative - The attachments are simply suggestions.
