Contest Brief

Hey,
I usually leave avatars and logos empty, because i got none. That's what i want to change.
I will use the logo for various Websites, but am planning to use it as logo and favicon for my own upcoming website too (logo and favicon for the website).
Because most Logos and Avatars require a 1:1 ratio, it should be a square-shape.
A typical site i will use it on is Github.

What i imagined is a logo that uses either parts of my name "Maik Maier" (like initials) or symbols that express some parts of what i do (some programming and computer science stuff). The logo can also consist of two parts, a simple logo and a version with my name, that i can use in situations where more space is available.
My favourite colors are some darker ones like blue and some green. I dont want a very bright mix of many colors.
All styles are ok, i'm fine with flat or 3D, but keep in mind that some locations will only allow very low resolutions, it should look good there too.

I'm curious what all the submissions will look like.
