Contest Brief

I have photographs that I've taken myself and quotes from the public domain. I'd like to combine them together to create note cards and posters. What I do not have is design talent or skills. If you want to crop or tighten up the images, (turn them into illustrations, make them B&W) that is fine - I am open to seeing your idea or ideas. My idea is that once I find a design that works for me, I would like to hire you to create 4-9 more notecards & posters in the same design style. I will pay an additional fee or fees for this work. The fee here, $100, is for the winning design. I've added 4 photos and 4 quotes. Pick one photo and one quote and show me what you can do with them design wise. Please be sure to include on the back of the cards copyright information with: Copyright - Nancy E. Coviello, 2015. Cards and posters should be designed to standard American sizes. Hi - Thanks for your question. No, I do not need my name to appear in the card. You can use the quote on the inside or the outside of the card - you choose. Good question on the size. I am checking on standard sizing and will update soon.

I would like to get started on your project. With regards to the quotes, would you like the quotes on the front of the card with the image? Also, is there anything you need inside of the card? The quality of the images you provided is not the best, will this matter for the final outcome?

  Thanks for your note. I am flexible on where the quotes are placed, I leave it to you to decide. I am not seeking anything in particular on the inside of the card - it can be blank or you can include something there design-wise, your choice. What image quality would you prefer? I can upload new versions.
