Contest Brief

We need a logo designed for a Video Production business. The name of our production business is "SpiderWeb Videos". We make mostly sales videos and commercials. But we also make shows, biographies, interviews, and looking to make our first short film in the near future.
Some of the words to describe us would be: FUN, to the point, helpful, fun, competitive, cool, dominant, fun, versatile, trustworthy, determined, fun, passionate, strong, energetic...Oh and did I mention, "FUN"?
TO BE COMPLETELY honest. I HAVE NO IDEA what I want exactly...But we love the colors: black, white purple, red, sky blue. Not all of those colors into one logo though.
Logos that we like [some can be found in attachment]: Bad Robot, Because I like the little dark yet fun vibe that logo gives off.... Sandwich Video, because it's such a simple logo yet the name somehow pops out at you with the colors. Adidas, because it my favorite clothing brand and I've always liked the logo. HBO, because also its so simple yet in your face. Dream Works, because the logo itself just reminds you of something that you can dream and imagine of.
I'm torn because I love simple yet cool stuff. Unless you're confident in making something with a bit more spice to it, I'd recommend to stick with simple yet cool. If you're able to make a dark yet fun logo similar to BAD ROBOT, that would be awesome! If not, then stick to simple. Which ever you're most confident in. The LOGO MUST CONTAIN SOME KIND OF SPIDERWEB INCORPORATED IN IT. If you would like to put a cool spider in it with the web, you can do that also...especially if it is something like BAD ROBOT logo, then I highly encourage it in that situation! There for the logo has a character with it. I Like characters! ALSO I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! PLEASE, Nothing cliche for a video production business like film strips or a video camera...unless somehow you can pull off a cool video lens with a web in it or something then cool. But The more cliche, the more likely I am to reject it.
In your bid please put the word "Alpha" so I know you have read and understood this brief.
I really like Tim Burton style in characters also. It's dark yet fun. Think about that. When I say dark, I don't mean the actual logo has to be super dark where you can barely see the letters and logo...By dark, I mean twisty looking. So twisty looking (dark) yet fun! The name definitely need to stand out. So main 2 things I like...BAD ROBOT and TIM BURTON. Hope ya'll get what I'm saying. Thank you!

Please read the brief again. I said it was preferred, but that does not mean that I will go with the look if there is something else that caught my attention. I did not say that it would HAVE to be like "Bad Robot". It was an example of the stuff I like to give you ideas. I have other logos attached to the brief in case you have not seen them, which look nothing like Bad Robot. Sorry for the confusion! But you guys did awesome. Actually, you 2 were in the top 3 with anudeep09 when I had to decide. Please do not feel bad or discouraged as I have mentioned that I would like to keep in contact for some near future work that is coming up very soon. Just because you were not my winner, does not mean that I forgot about you guys. Thank you!

I'd like to congratulate the winner! I love the logo, so simple yet so catchy. Has that dark yet fun vibe I was talking about. Also I will most likely stay in contact with some of you because this choice has probably been the hardest one I've ever had to make.
