I need two banners for advertising our Christmas product:
500x500 with a max file size of 70k
300x250 with a max file size of 40k

The image has to immediately tell what you product is. You can't go looking for it. Audience attention span is short.

  All the formats have a relation between pixels and image size. For example an JPG format image with 72 DPI at 500x500 px never have less than 70k. If you decrease the DPI Resolution, the pixels going down too..
