We have an image that will go in a 1344x404 pixel hero unit on the landing page of a website. Approximately half of the hero unit will be filled with text. The image is a rectangle right now, and looks bad plopped into the hero unit. I'd like for it to look more interesting. You can make it fade to white (or another color); you can blur parts of the image in an interesting way, you can add interesting layers or masks. Just something to make it look inviting and engaging alongside a short paragraph of text.
