Winner will be determined primarily based on the handle assembly so please do not feel that you need to complete all designs to win, however the winner will be responsible for completing all pieces.

We are creating a luggage handle assembly comprised of three designed pieces (a top 'loop' piece with threaded screw posts, a bottom plate, and a nut to tighten/close); as well as 'feet', a zipper pull, monogram and tear-drop collar button. The 'loop' and 'foot' pieces require some mesh/texture detail to catch light but otherwise the pieces are smooth. I've included a first stab at design in adobe illustrator so hopefully tuning and converting to a 3d model will be relatively straight forward. A photograph of the type of texture that we are trying to achieve is also attached - however please note that the pieces need to be easy to clean too. Thank you for looking and good luck!

Please note: All base graphics are in the 'Hardware' file - the others are for reference only (we are not doing an H buckle, the design is based on a C but the post/clasp on the back works the same.

Hello everyone. Thank you very much for the incredible response. In order to make the contest more interesting and lucrative for you I will be raising the prize to $750 and adding a few more components for design (each of which is less complicated than the handle attachment). I will also be more clear with dimensions. I plan to have the revised file available by midnight EST. Thanks again for your great work!

  Sure - thank you very much for your design it is very strong. The first version is better because there does not appear to be any space under the 'mesh' texture - we want this to be easy to clean. I would suggest rounding the underside so that the leather can slide more easily and make sure that the screw mechanism works. We will be printing at Shapeways so anything you can do to tailor to their setup would be good.

Thanks for your interest - the part is actually the anchor point for a leather handle (not the handle itself). We are looking for the texture to be only on the top.
