Contest Brief

Brief: We are looking for an emotive, mature and yet energetic native English speaker to narrate a documentary on cultivation of Alphonso mangoes (akin to Travel/Food channel documentaries). These are prized limited edition mangoes which are considered to be one of the most expensive & exclusive mango cultivars out there. To do justice to the topic, we require a voice artist who fully understands the nuances of delivering a universally appealing food/culinary message across to a mature and discerning audience. Note that we will be constructing a video by laying down your vocal track first as a foundation and then building visuals on top of the same.

Text sample: "This region has a distinctive ground profile which has hard Laterite rock as its base foundation with a lot of red fertile soil on top to provide nutrition to our mango trees. These plantations receive copious amounts of rain during the rainy season and plenty of heat during the hot Indian summer. A combination of natural sea breezes, unique ground profile and characteristic weather conditions have resulted in a mango fruit which is superior in taste, aroma and texture to other mango cultivars of the world. Attempts have been made to replicate these growing conditions in other regions of the world but only with limited success."

Total length: 1355 words (just over 2 pages). Actual audio length depends on your style, interpretation and delivery of the given text. We will provide a pronunciation key/guide as well.

Flexibility: We are open to suggestions where you can make modifications to the text to fit your delivery style.

Deliverables: We require loss-less audio files with basic noise reduction.

Miscellany: While it's not mandatory, it would be nice to see existing voice work where you've narrated food/lifestyle products and/or services.
