Dear Vik costing method for manufacturing and processing companies are majorly ZERO Based costing in which you need to take raw material landed cost + capital investment for machineries+ cost of labor involved in converting raw material to finished goods (Includiing power cost and maintenance cost) +packing cost+cost of loading packed finished goods on vehicle to despatch to customer or dealer distributor, by considering all these components we can calculate the feasibility of any project and accordingly can decide Make or Buy too.

  Thanks rkm...I really appreciate your feedback and I totally agree with your view points. The focus is on how the information is gathered on the ground level first by companies for each stages in a project. Then, how the data is interpreted using different costing methods.
