As a person who has spent time in the UK, whilst coming from a developing country, the biggest difference I noticed is the traffic safety. Thinking out of the box, the best solution I have come up with so far is a system integrated in vehicles which would give bonus points for drivers who have made a good gesture in traffic, such as stopped for people at a crossing, thanked someone for letting them into the lane from a lower priority lane, driving at a safe distance etc. I think this would be more effective compared to traffic fines in developing countries, also would help with pollution without reducing oil consumption... Because from another standpoint rules are actually guidelines and we shouldn't punish someone without knowing the circumstances. For further details, if someone is interested in this idea, which would be applicable practically everywhere, please contact me with ideas.

What if I'm able to get the local government interested in this... Could you give a rough estimate of how much this could cost? I mean just the development of the equipment and software... There are possible grants I could apply for(EU)... I think the car companies could give it a go because we could give discounts to people to buy lower emission cars as well...

Here is your problem ... the car industry is about to go AI with self driving cars ,,, I understand that in developing countries , it will take some more time for such technology to be deployable ... bu I can tell you one thing, after having worked with high tech investors for 10+ years, no one will give you money to build a device that all major car manufacturers, who have billions of dollars in R&D project, developing the very same technology, with the intent to eliminate the driver altogether. See my point?

Tracking driving style... I can do... things like, staying withing speed limits, driving with smooth accelerations and slowing down before traffic light at a smooth pace .. and so on those are all things that can be tracked electronically. combining sensors with a camera and computer vision .. easy things to do .. sort of, lets say, not rocket science, but yes, science.
