Contest Brief

New logo (with creative input) needed for our bags (of hard mint sweets).

We have an existing design and we have some ideas from a marketing company (attached). We want to 'throw the project out there' to see what other creative input and design ideas there may be.

Our product competition are Halls, Tic-tacs, Mentos, Orbit/Wrigleys chewing gums. See those products for 'design/consumer feel' ideas but we want to stand out from those with original packaging.

Our mints are refreshing and very thirst quenching but we don't want to harm winter sales either, so not too much water on the packaging. Other points to note: 100% Natural - zero artificial additives - soft mint flavour (not strong) - Real Mints is a tagline we'd like to use.

The flavour is Peppermint, not Spearmint and so although we want to include green leaves, the packaging must not be too green, which suggests Spearmint. More blue/white than green.
The bag must have a clear see-through window so the sweets inside can be seen.
Please note that we like the 'novelty' factor of the attached bag design with lips, but we feel that is too feminine and would alienate male consumers. Our consumers are 50/50 male/female.
Children like our sweets but children are not our target consumer.

Our consumer is active, perhaps aged 20 to 60 years, although we don't want to alienate our older consumers (60 to 100 yrs). The consumer cares about the natural element of our mints, but wants to buy for the refreshing taste and convenience of a 'travel sweet'. Our bags have a plastic zip closure so that the bags of sweets can travel in a sports bag, hand luggage, back-pack, motor vehicle.

The product is mid price (not cheap but not expensive). The packaging is high quality, as are the sweets.

We are running this competition as we want your creative logo ideas based on our product, competitor products and the consumer profile.
