Hi :)

I am looking for some art to inspire my toys - all I am waiting for is the right 'look'. I am having trouble getting what I imagine my toys to be from my head onto paper.

There are two toys in the range - a fox and a fawn. They are a baby toy known as a lovey or doudou which is a blanket toy so the main features are the head and the arms. They toys will be in the premium range - they are targeting modern parents who are looking for relatively gender neutral toys in neural or muted colors. In my mind the fox is channeling 'Todd' the fox and the fawn would be modern looking bambi like. The toys will be made out of a very short but soft plush. The toys cannot have any button eyes or other features that can fall off (choking hazard) but the faces and other detail can all be done with embroidery.

I am looking for an artist that represents the vision I have in my head for these toys. Either hand drawn sketch or digital drawing is fine - the manufacturer will be able to draft a pattern from either. While for the entry in this competition sketches and drafts are fine, I expect to contact the awarded winner to work with them on revisions for the final product included in this project. Please contact me if you would like any further detail that might help you. I have attached a photo of a toy that represents the style of toy that is being designed. They are typically 12 x 12 inch. As you can see all the character is embodied in the head and and arms.

I will require the awarded artist to produce 3 illustrations of the two animals - front, side and rear profile = totalling 6 illustrations. I will work with you closely beforehand with measurements etc to try and limit the number of revisions. Sorry for the late disclosure - they have only just got back to me. If you are not willing to complete this as part of the project please withdraw your entry. Thanks!
