Contest Brief

We’re a young italian Wine Company, trying to start up a new Brand. Our goal is to create a new and quirky product line of sparkling wine, moving away from the conventional image of normal wine retailers.
At this stage we are looking for a professional label and a neckband for our first bottles’ line. The bottle would be totally black (opaque), with a black capsule e and black sealing wax with the logo of our company over it.
The name of the brand is: Maison Deriva.

LABEL
THE STYLE SHOULD BE ELEGANT, LUXURIOUS MINIMAL AND GIVE THE IMPRESSION OF A UNIQUE HIGH QUALITY SPUMANTE. It’d be better if you’ll be able to add a VINTAGE TOUCH.
The label should be a width of 3 cm and a height of 5 cm. We suggest you to use a black background and a calligraphic font (closely related to style of the wax).
NB:The label has a canvas texture.
Over the label, it must be written: “Maison Deriva – Gran Cuveè”

NECK BAND
THE STYLE SHOULD BE ELEGANT, MINIMAL AND GIVE THE IMPRESSION OF A UNIQUE HIGH QUALITY SPUMANTE. It’d be better if you’ll be able to add a VINTAGE TOUCH.
The label should be a width of 1,5 cm with no restrictions on the height (but dont’go too far from the conventional one please).
The background must be black and it must be written “Maison Deriva”.

BACK: there will be a label (6cm x 6cm) with name of brand, standard information and icons of social networks (facebook, instagram, twitter)
* We'll give instructions about it during a second time to the designer who'll be chosen. Now we want to focus our attention on FRONT SIDE of bottle.

We would be really glad to REPRODUCED THE SIGNATURE of the author of the graphic design on our bottles!

this is our idea (black bottle, black label, black neck band, etc etc....) but if you have some good and orginal idea we would be glad to see it.

What does Maison Deriva mean? Maison = house or palace? Would be helpful to know what it means.

  Thanks, I have now posted my first idea - very simple and basic #18 . Do you have a special home/winery where we could maybe use an outline of the house on the label as background? If so please sent a picture that I could try to use it. Could be nice.

Dear #Robpurl,
We registered our account on this site 15 days ago'. We are a new company and we're working on our first Spumante's line. Yes, it's true. We've posted a different contest last week, because our first idea was to create a first line totally hand-painted (wihout label). AND THAT WAS HARDLY SPECIFIED ON THE CONTEST. However, we didn't receive anything that we could - even hardly - reproduced by a stamp, as we required (even yours). Do you think, we should have payed for something that we couldn't use or even want? This morning we've post a message to all the designers, in which we said that we were sorry but we were going to delete that contest and enter a new one, because - after the works we received - we have decided to use a simple label (we have thought that it would be easier for the deisgner to develope our request).

Ps: We never mentioned "champagne". You should read deeplier the contest, before entering your work. Maybe this is the reason why you didn't goal it!

Hi all Freelancers. You have been warned. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST. This contest is a sham. It was only recently held. Once they had received all their FREE ideas they immediately closed it and opened this new contest. I was awarded over 4 stars but got no feedback at all. Don't waste your valuable time, concentrate on genuine contests. The last contest was for 4 champagnes this one is for a Spumante so at the end of the 2 contests they will have a whole product range designed for nothing.

  Wow, Those are quite serious allegations. The #contestholder should ensure competition by putting the label "guaranteed" if he want us to trust in this contest.
