Ringkasan Peraduan

A pair of spring-free unbiased tongs consists of two arms having a hinge in between. The pair of tongs works like a seesaw so a user grips it by palming the hinge. Then he squeezes the front end to close the food-gripping end to pick up the food. The food is released by squeezing the rear end.

This pair of tongs has no locking mechanism so it swings freely when not being held. An award is given to the contestant whose design of this locking mechanism that holds the tongs closed when not being used is simple, easy to use, and is elegant in looks.

The relevant drawings are provided with approximate dimensions (not finalized). The shape of the food-gripping end should look just like what is shown in the video. (Hint: you can google for "locking mechanism for scissors" to get some idea.)

Any format is acceptable if the idea can be easily understood by viewing the submitted file.
