Re: originality of design.

Client is grateful for all the submissions so far, but notes that almost all of those submissions appear to have utilised an online logo generator tool. Perhaps this is a result of only offering $55 as a reward.

Client wishes to have an unique design, and work with an actual graphic designer, not simply have a machine-generated logo.

Client is willing to award a large bonus, and additional design work (letterheads, presentations, business cards, web site graphics) to a graphic designer who takes the time to develop something unique, from scratch.

The client is a small consulting company, and requires a logo. This contest is for logo design and delivery. If the winner chooses, additional funds can be paid for designing stationery (business cards, letterhead, etc).

Tagline: Export Compliance & Training
Industry: Business Consulting, Import/Export Compliance, Corporate Training, Technical Writing

Design Brief: Simple. Elegant. Logo should include company name. Logo should enable use of tagline. Original graphics only (no clip-art, stock art, or copyrighted materials). Logo design should work in black & white and in colour. Logo should be suitable for use in print and on a web site.

    Thanks to all of you for the submissions presented thus far. I can’t provide individual feedback to everyone, but here is some general feedback...

    I don’t know if each of you can see one another’s designs, but one thing we’ve noticed is the striking similarity between most of the designs. There are a handful of motifs and design elements that recur dozens of times over.

    This seems to be a result of many or perhaps most designers using online logo generator tools.

    The client has advised they would much prefer an unique design; not something churned out by a logo generator. They are willing to pay a bonus, and award further work (letterheads, presentations, business cards, web site) to a designer who puts in the extra effort to design a logo from scratch.
