Contest Brief

We are developing a new skincare system called WAXEDSKIN.
WAXEDSKIN is a modern skincare system built specifically around the needs of skin before and after waxing. The goal is to create a brand that feels clean, premium, professional, approachable, and scalable across multiple products.
This is not just another beauty product line. We are building a structured skincare system designed to help users achieve and maintain smoother, clearer, healthier-looking skin after they wax hair off their skin.
Brand Vision
WAXEDSKIN represents the result.
The name is built around the desired outcome: skin that looks and feels clean, smooth, cared for, and confident after waxing.
We want the brand to speak to both:
Beauty professionals and waxing specialists
consumers who want better post-wax skin results at home
The brand should feel elevated enough for professional skincare, but simple and inviting enough for everyday retail.
The Opportunity
The post-wax skincare category is currently fragmented.
Consumers often do not know what to use before waxing, immediately after waxing, or days later to help prevent bumps, ingrowns, clogged pores, irritation, dryness, and discoloration.
Professionals often piece together routines from multiple brands.
WAXEDSKIN is designed to simplify this.
We want to create a clear, color-coded, easy-to-understand system that can scale across multiple SKUs and eventually become the default post-wax skincare routine.

The Product System
The system currently includes five steps that treat the skin in five separate ways. We plan on changing the color of the logo with a color that clearly represents the individual step of the system.
Step 1 — Cleanse
Step 2 — Recover
Step 3 — Correct
Step 4 — Maintain
Step 5 — Protect
Current Design Direction
We have been exploring a simplified circular badge logo where the product’s step color becomes the main identity marker.
For example, Step 3 uses a coral circle with the words WAXED SKIN inside it.
We like the idea of the circle becoming a recognizable system mark, almost like a seal or badge. It should feel modern, premium, and memorable.
However, we are open to fresh interpretations as long as the design still supports the larger system.
Important Design Challenge
The physical packaging space is limited.
For some jars, the front printable area is only about 2.75 inches, and the back/side printable area may be only about 2 inches.
Because of this, the design cannot rely on too much small text.
We need a visual system that works at small scale.
The front label should be simple, iconic, and recognizable.
The side or back label can carry essential product clarity such as:
step number
product type
key active ingredients
QR code
website
We plan to use QR codes to carry deeper education, instructions, and full routine guidance digitally rather than crowding the physical package.
Desired Brand Feel
The design should feel:
clean
modern
premium
professional
skincare-first
confident
inclusive
calming
systemized
scalable
It should not feel:
cheap
overly clinical
overly playful
too busy
too feminine-only
generic spa branding
childish
overly trendy
cluttered with copy
We want the customer to feel that this is a serious but approachable skincare system created for real post-wax skin results.
Emotional Territory
WAXEDSKIN should communicate:
confidence in your skin
acceptance of real skin concerns
smoothness without shame
skincare after waxing as normal, not embarrassing
professional guidance made simple
a complete routine, not guesswork
The tone should avoid making people feel bad about ingrowns, bumps, discoloration, or irritation. Instead, it should say:
“You are not the problem. Your skin just needs the right system.”
Design Needs
We are looking for designers to submit inspired concepts for:
A refined WAXEDSKIN logo or badge system
A scalable color-coded step system
Packaging direction for the five-step line
Front label concept for small jars/bottles
Side/back label concept with QR code integration
Typography and spacing recommendations
Optional visual system for website/Amazon/social use
Current Typography Direction
We are drawn to clean geometric sans-serif typefaces such as:
Avenir Next
Montserrat
Gotham
Proxima Nova
similar modern skincare-style fonts
We like wide tracking, clean spacing, and a premium minimalist feel.
Design Priorities
The strongest submissions will show:
how the logo works on a small jar
how the five steps look together
how color coding supports product navigation
how the packaging can scale across multiple SKUs
how the brand can work online, on Amazon, in professional treatment rooms, and in retail
We are not looking for a single pretty label. We are looking for a scalable skincare identity system.
Final Goal
Our goal is to build WAXEDSKIN into the recognizable post-wax skincare system for professionals and consumers.
We want the brand to feel like it can grow into a serious skincare platform, not just a single product.
The winning design should help us communicate:
WAXEDSKIN
The Post-Wax Skin System
A complete routine designed to cleanse, recover, correct, maintain, and protect skin before and after waxing.
